Search and rescue operation underway in Indonesia after a plane loses contact

According to flight tracking services, the Sriwijaya Air flight SJ182 appears to have rapidly lost altitude a few minutes after taking off from Jakarta. Local media, citing a manifest, say there were 62 people on board the Boeing 737-500 , which was due for Pontianak, Borneo.
